Spending all your energy, time, and emotions on it. And even knowing that the outcome is predetermined, we still run.
At the end of episode 9 of the anime “86,” there is a scene that perfectly captures this feeling.
Comrades who decided to venture deep into enemy territory leave the communication zone with their commander, Lena.
Realizing that chasing them is almost futile—she can only extend communication for a few moments—
Lena still breaks into a run.
She knows she can’t stop them.
She knows she won’t catch up.
But more than anything,
she doesn’t want to be left behind.
So she keeps running as long as she can.
This scene reflects many real-life situations.
When someone important moves beyond your reach, it’s always difficult. It hurts
You “run,” wanting to stop them.
Why?
By force?
They made their decision for reasons.
Why?
We can only guess.
Yes, you really want to be near them, but…
What do you do in such a situation?
Use that surge of emotions for self-improvement or give up and surrender?
Everyone chooses for themselves.
Most often, this choice happens automatically, but you can make it consciously.
Accepting the situation and using emotional resources for a new life. This is how I have repeatedly dealt with similar circumstances.
